Dear Saints in Christ,
As we enter into the holy season of Lent I am pleased to offer you some special opportunities for repentant reflection and spiritual growth. Our traditional midweek Lenten services will focus on the theme of “The Crucified King.” Please read the information and the schedule included here in the newsletter or on our website. (https://lutheranchurch.wordpress.com)
The next opportunity is something new for the Sundays in Lent. I am preparing a sermon series (actually my first sermon series) under the theme of “Living God’s Priorities.” For each of the five Sundays in Lent we will consider one of God’s priorities for us as Christians. See the following pages in the newsletter for a summary of each priority.
While this is a sermon series, each priority does stand alone. So, if for some reason you had to miss a week, you wouldn’t miss out on the continuity. HOWEVER, I pray that you will not miss a week. Rather than giving up something for Lent, I am asking you to commit to coming to worship to receive God’s Word from this sermon series. I am asking you to commit also to come to worship for the Wednesday Lenten services (either at 1 p.m. or 7 p.m.) I know you will be blessed and enriched.
So, make this Lent a special time of spiritual renewal for yourself and for your families.
